UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The UN Security Council on Friday condemned "in the strongest terms" the suicide bombing terrorist attack at a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan on Feb. 6, which has killed more than 30 people and injured many others.

In a press statement, the members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and the people of Pakistan, and wished a speedy and full recovery to those injured.

Security Council members reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, and reaffirmed the need for all states to combat by all means, in accordance with the UN Charter and other obligations under international law, threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts.
